I am no longer ashamed of myself. Incredible surgery is performed on a woman who was born without a CHIN in order to reconstruct her face…

19-year-old Thai woman Wijitpraphorn Punbu, known as Fon, was bullied for years because she had no chin and crooked, protruding teeth. The bullying deeply affected her, causing emotional pain and physical problems such as difficulty eating and excessive snorting.

To change her life, Fon entered Thailand Let Me In, a TV show similar to Britain’s Got Talent, where participants compete for a chance to receive life-changing cosmetic surgery in Korea. Judges evaluated contestants based on their physical and emotional conditions and how surgery could improve their lives.

Fon was chosen as the winner. Her transformation took three months and included major dental and facial surgery. The change was dramatic—she became almost unrecognizable and finally felt confident in her appearance.

“Before surgery, my life was full of sadness and loneliness,” Fon said. “Now, for the first time, I can go out without feeling ashamed.” Though she missed her family during her time in Korea, she said, “It was all worth it. Everyone wants to feel beautiful.”
