Pretty Woman: The deleted scenes you never knew you needed
Pretty Woman is a magical movie that never gets old, thanks to the amazing chemistry between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. But did you know there are deleted scenes that most people haven’t seen?

Originally, the script—called 3,000—was much darker. Vivian was portrayed as a drug user, and Edward was a cold, sociopathic yuppie. Julia Roberts said she would never have accepted that original role. Luckily, the story was changed into the romantic comedy we know and love.

The Director’s Cut includes extra scenes that show more depth, like an extended first meeting between Vivian and Edward, and tense moments involving Carlos, the pimp. There’s also a deleted horse-riding scene between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere that fans wish had made it into the final movie.
The TV version even changed some of the language to be more family-friendly. While most fans love the final fairy-tale version, these deleted scenes add an interesting, darker perspective that could have made the movie very different. What do you think—should any of these deleted scenes have stayed?
