Former 16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis shares heartbreaking news
Whitney Purvis, known from MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, shared the heartbreaking news that her 16-year-old son, Weston Gosa Jr., passed away on June 2. Whitney expressed her deep grief on Facebook, calling it her worst nightmare and asking how to go on after losing a child.
Weston had ongoing health issues, including diabetes, and his stepmother said they tried to wake him on the morning of his death but he was not breathing. Despite CPR and paramedic efforts, he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of death is still unknown pending an autopsy.
Weston appeared on the first season of 16 and Pregnant when Whitney was a teen. Whitney has faced personal challenges in recent years, including losing custody of her children.
