Melania Trump snubbed by designers days before inauguration

elania Trump, elegant as always, stood beside her husband at the Capitol as he was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States. Ahead of returning to the White House, Melania released her book Melania, which quickly became a New York Times bestseller.

Now back in the public eye, Melania has confirmed a new TV documentary with Amazon, which began filming in December 2024 and is set to premiere in late 2025 in theaters and on the platform. A follow-up documentary series is also reportedly in production, with a licensing deal valued at $40 million, according to Puck News.

Speaking on Fox & Friends, Melania said the documentary was inspired by interest in her book and would show her daily life, responsibilities, and transition back to the White House. “It’s day-to-day — packing, building my team, moving in, and what it takes to make the residence a home,” she said.

Melania’s fashion has remained consistent over the years. “I always wear what I like and what’s appropriate,” she told Elle. For the inauguration, she wore a custom navy coat by Adam Lippes and a matching boater hat by Eric Javits.

While many designers refused to dress her during Trump’s first term, French designer Hervé Pierre continues to work with her. He shared that some in the fashion world are unwelcoming due to political reasons, though European designers see it as a business opportunity.
