Gabriella Laberge stuns ‘AGT’ judges with violin and angelic voice

Gabriella Laberge, a French-Canadian singer and violinist who competed in France’s Destination Eurovision in 2019, recently impressed judges and audiences with her audition on America’s Got Talent. Gabriella, sharing her dream of pursuing music for life, started her performance with a delicate violin solo.

While most judges were captivated, Simon Cowell seemed uninterested, hovering over the red buzzer. However, Gabriella surprised everyone by transitioning into a soulful rendition of James Blunt’s “Goodbye My Lover,” which instantly grabbed Cowell’s attention and led to a standing ovation.

The judges unanimously voted to send her through to the next round, but Gabriella’s journey isn’t over yet. Her audition aired during the season’s final round of auditions, and only 36 acts will progress to the live shows after a three-week break.

Gabriella previously competed in Destination Eurovision in 2019 with the song “On cherche encore,” which became a fan favorite, though she was eliminated in the semi-finals. Regardless of whether she advances, her AGT performance has left a lasting impression.
