Heartbreak At University Of Wyoming: Three Students Killed In Tragic Incident
Three members of the University of Wyoming swimming and diving team—Carson Muir (18), Charlie Clark (19), and Luke Slabber (21)—tragically lost their lives in a car crash near the Wyoming-Colorado border. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 287 when their Toyota RAV4 veered off the road and rolled multiple times. Two other teammates were injured but later released from the hospital.

The crash happened while they were off school duty. Investigators have not ruled out speed, distractions, or impairment as potential causes.
University President Ed Seidel and Athletics Director Tom Burman expressed deep sorrow, while Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon also shared condolences. Counseling has been made available to students and athletes as the university and community mourn this devastating loss.
