Kim Kardashian Announces She Graduated From Law School, but Everyone’s Pointing the Same Thing

Kim Kardashian Reaches Major Milestone on Her Journey to Become a Lawyer

Kim Kardashian has announced a major personal achievement: completing California’s Law Office Study Program (LOSP), an alternative path to becoming a lawyer without attending traditional law school. On Instagram, Kim reflected on her six-year journey, which began in 2018 with 75 college credits and a dream of pursuing law. Under the mentorship of attorneys Van Jones, Jessica Jackson, and Erin Haney, she studied 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year—over 5,000 hours total—while raising four children, running her businesses, and working on criminal justice reform.

Kim passed the challenging “baby bar” exam in 2021 after several attempts, marking a turning point in her legal studies. She expressed pride in finishing the rigorous program, writing, “The journey was real, and so is the accomplishment.”

While many, including her sister Khloé, praised her dedication, online critics pointed out that Kim didn’t “graduate from law school” in the traditional sense. Instead, she completed California’s LOSP, which is legally recognized but rarely used. Critics stressed that unlike traditional law school graduates, Kim didn’t earn a bachelor’s degree or take the LSAT. Supporters, however, defended her, noting that the LOSP is equally demanding and requires passing the same exams.

Kim’s achievement has sparked wider conversations about non-traditional education paths and what it means to succeed professionally. Despite the controversy over wording, few can deny the discipline and commitment her path required.
